Sïan Kelly is an interdisciplinary emerging artist based in Sydney, Australia. Her research-based practice revolves around themes of gender, ‘womanness’ and the body.
Through core mediums (drawing, ceramics, performance, installation, sculpture, text and sound) Kelly’s bodies of work are displayed as if inhabiting a designed space or environment, allowing the audience to view her bodies of work from within their own occupied spaces.
Kelly is undertaking a Bachelor of Fine Arts(hons) at UNSW Art and Design, and has completed a work experience program at the Art Gallery of NSW.
She has exhibited in numerous galleries, including Hazelhurst Gallery (Artexpress, 2015), Gaffa Gallery (Yen Staedtler Female Art Awards, 2015), the Art Gallery of NSW (Bring Back the Bush event, 2016), and Kudos Gallery (Kudos Emerging Artist + Designer Awards 2016/2017, Kudos Live, 2017).
She has also co-curated exhibitions at AD Space (“This Is What Your Tax Dollars Are Paying For” 2017), and Goodspace Gallery (“Goodstuff @ Goodspace” 2017).
